Nose and nasal-related issues

Here’s what we already know. A runny nose is a common occurrence among PRP patients. A runny nose is yet another indignity thrust upon us as we journey forward.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a runny nose is excess nasal drainage. It may be a thin clear fluid, thick mucus, or something in between. The drainage may run out of your nose, down the back of your throat or both.

There are some among us who report the onset of a runny nose as part of their onset of pityriasis rubra pilaris. While no scientific research has been done in this regard, there is anecdotal support within the PRP community to pique our interest.

The following posts offer an opportunity to review the sharings of PRP patients and caregivers.

“I know I’m not the only one who’s eyes and nose drip constantly. How frustrated are you when it happens? I carry a roll of toilet paper in my purse all of the time to wipe up the drips. It makes me so irritated.”

“What can I take to stop my nose from running so much?”
