Is there a cure for PRP?

Is there a cure for PRP?

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a CURE usually refers to a complete restoration of health, while TREATMENT refers to a process that leads to an improvement in health, but may not include the complete elimination of disease.

The consensus among dermatologists is that there is NO CURE for pityriasis rubra pilaris. This is NOT what a PRP patient or caregiver wants to hear.

From the perspective of patients and caregivers, we are missing a medical definition of the word CURE that is based a level of resolution that is acceptable, whether it be med-free and symptom-free REMISSION or MANAGED.

Here are some thoughts to ponder:

  1. Does remission mean that the PRP patient is cured?
  2. For those who say that PRP will run its course, does the end of the journey represent a cure?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
