The Bright Side of the Dark Side

With a battle cry of “Stay positive, no matter what!”, Rose F (Show Low, AZ) began her PRP journey in October, 2018 at the age of 74 with the onset of symptoms. She joined the PRP Facebook Support Group in November during PRP Awareness Month 2018.
 
On Valentines Day (February 14, 2019), with her tongue pressed firmly against the inside of her cheek, she offered the following insights in a post to the 1,481 other PRP Facebookers:
 

“I have not had to shave my legs and underarms in months.”

✽  The day Rose shaves her legs and underarms will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.
 

“I have not had to use deodorant in months.”

✽  The day she uses deodorant will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.
 

“I have not had to drive anywhere thanks to my husband.”

✽  The day she grabs the car keys from her husband and drives where she wants will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.

“I have acquired many new friends who REALLY understand.”

✽  The day she joined the PRP Facebook Support Group she was no longer alone. Her PRP family will celebrate the “Healing Milestones” as they occur,

“I now ride the scooters at grocery stores.”

✽  The day she pushes the grocery cart will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.
 

“I have not had to vacuum or dust, again, thanks to my husband.”

✽  The day neither she, nor her husband, vacuum and dust flakes of skin from floors and furniture will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.
 

“I have not had to wipe everything I touch due to the grease on my whole body”

✽  The day she can touch anything with greaseless hands will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.
 

“I can now put my telephone to my ear.”

✽  The day she can use her telephone will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”,
 

“I don’t have to worry about finding what to wear — none of my clothes fit.” 

✽  The day her clothes and shoes fit will be celebrated as a “Healing Milestone”.
