Message From Bill McCue, Editor
I have successfully renewed three domains (prpAlliance.com, prpAlliance.org and prpSurvivalGuide.org) that support our PRP global community. We are good for another year! I have been a PRP community advocate since February 6, 2013 when I registered prpAlliance.com. I was already seven months into my PRP journey with another 13 months to go.My efforts over the past six-plus years have been supported by a small and generous cadre of PRP patients and caregivers. Whether money, advice, proofreading, or the occasional “attaboy”, I have been inspired by their courage, resourcefulness and tenacity. It’s time for me to sharpen my focus.
❋ It’s time to resurrect the PRP newsletter — On the Road…Our Journey from Onset through Remission. Between April 2014 and October 2015, I published 24 newsletters averaging 24 pages per issue. I envision a more sustainable effort starting with June 2020, e.g., 12 pages each month.
❋ It’s also time to expand the PRP Survival Guide to reflect the “PRP-related sharings” of PRP Facebookers over the past three years.
❋ It’s even time to become a more effective catalysts for PRP-related research. We can’t sit on the sidelines and wait for the proverbial pot to boil.
The posts and comments of the PRP Facebook Support Group represent the collective insights and experiences of over 2,100 PRP patients and caregivers. Our information needs to more accessible.
There is valuable data just waiting to be collected, organized and shared more effectively.
I need help to make ongoing financial commitments with service providers, e.g., surveys and emails, video conferencing resources, secure hosting and Search Engine Optimization, and a wee bit of technology.
