With so many dietary supplements available and so many claims made about their health benefits, how can you decide whether a supplement is safe or useful? As a diabetic since 2004, I have tremendous respect for nutritionists. My nutritionist works in concert with my endocrinologist. If I have a question, I ask them during my quarterly clinic visits.

The minimum educational requirement for becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) is a bachelor’s degree. Many colleges and universities offer degrees in nutrition, nutritional sciences, and dietetics. Those who want to become RDNs should seek a school that offers a didactic program in dietetics. A recent post by Marijana V, (Berlin, Germany) supported the success of  an anti inflammatory diet. Her PRP journey was standard.  “My PRP journey started in December 2020. Before my diet I was 97 percent covered, with all other familiar ‘joys’ of having this illness, such as thick palms and feet, hair loss … and so on. With an anti inflammatory diet she reported less shedding, less dryness, less red, less itch, and more stamina.
 
During a trip to Italy she deviated from the diet an noted the following results: I had an empirical proof my diet works. I had one cheat-day and ate pasta and drank Aperol spritz. The next day the redness and dryness returned. Then I went back to dodging anything inflammatory and the skin started to get better again.
