If five years ago, I was told there would come a day when I could sweep the room, take a nap, and then need to sweep again, I’d have called them crazy! I’m sure I’m not the only soul who feels many things have been stripped from their previous life. Our weight, complexion, stamina, strength, pride. Gone over time. Hell, my confidence isn’t even what it used to be. But PRP will not take everything. I refuse that. And thank God, I’m headed into a slow recession as I get better every day.

One day you will tell
your story
of how you overcame
what you went through and
it will become someone
else’s survival guide.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
The old skin has to be shed
before the new one can come.

People talk about caterpillars becoming butterflies
as though they just go into a cocoon,
slap on wings and are good to go.

Caterpillars have go dissolve into a disgusting pile
of goo to become butterflies.

So, if you’re a mess wrapped up
in blankets right now, keep going.

Hope should not be as rare as PRP

Posted by Delanie E — Kalispell, MT (August 21, 2018)

Editor’s Note: Every PRP patient/caregiver should view Delanie’s inspirational video. When we talk about hope, we should recall the courage of the young woman from Montana. The video is currently available to members of the PRP Facebook Community.

Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine.
It’s not their journey to make sense of. It’s yours.

Hold On, Pain Ends

Sometimes we need someone to simply be there …
not to fix anything or do anything,
but to just let us feel we are supported and cared about.

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…
It’s learning to Dance in the Rain

Although we face adversity,
we can still flourish and bloom.
